| 13-Jan-12
Patrick Y3 Game Design Austria | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Hi, my name is Patrick and I'm a computing student. I found the Court Manor House on the internet, and applied for a flat together with a colleague. The landlady was very nice from the beginning. I for example was allowed to deposit my luggage 1 week before the start of the rental. I can say that the flats in the court manor house are really big and have a lot to offer. There’s a washing machine, 4 cook tops, 1 oven, 1 fridge, a washing machine/ Dryer , and all of the table-ware. When you move in, you have literally everything you need. The location of the flat is ideal. Just a one minute walk from the main street (100 meters). The next shopping mall ist just 10 minutes away, and the LYIT is also just 10 minutes away. The fact that parties are forbidden could be taken as advantage but also as disadvantage. The acoustic level is kept low due to that but also because of the favourable location. So it's the ideal flat to relax and to concentrate, while the bars are just a footstep away. Nevertheless, for people who want to party hard every day, Ii would recommend the "Shalom-Houses" instead. It's not a rare occasion that there are parties with more than 30 people in flats, made for just 10. Other things (if you are not from Ireland): Ireland is relatively cold and the isolation of the walls is in Ireland not the best. That means that the costs for heating are relatively high. But that's not specific to the Court Manor House, but true for all the houses I know. The costs for electricity are also relatively high. The people in Donegal are relatively hard to understand. I myself had no problems to understand people from England or America, but the Donegal accent was a challenge for itself. Ok i think there's nothing else to say. I hope this review has helped you with your decision. | 13-Jan-12
Judith Ngo Y3 Creative Digital Media Germany | Resident in Duffy's Lane Townhouses: My name is Judith and I am a third year student in Creative Digital Media at the LYIT. LSA was recommended to me by Aaron who stayed here last year. I rented the place from September 2011 until January 2012. When I arrived in Letterkenny I first popped in at the office of Anna which is an approximately 10 minutes walk from the main bus station and was welcomed with a warm and calming chat before I signed the tenancy agreement. Since we had some luggage to carry Anna gave us a lift to the Townhouse where we were about to stay the next 5 months. Even though I saw pictures beforehand I was surprised by the dimensions and lovingly considered furniture of the place. There is the first floor including the living room with couch, armchairs, fireplace, tv and DVD player, the kitchen which is big enough to serve a whole family, including washing machine and lounge, and a tiny storage room where to find hoover, besom, electric iron and the like. The second floor contains the bathroom which is tiny but effectual (bath tub - you won’t find one in most of the other accommodations) and two bed rooms with each a bed, a small desk and wardrobes. The two bed rooms fairly differ in their size as there is one really spacious and one pretty small room. But both of them offer all you need for your stay. The place is provided with Wi-Fi which is fast enough for normal usage. The Townhouses are situated in the very centre of the Letterkenny. You will find shops and pubs within a reach of 5-10 minutes’ walk and need about 15 minutes to get to the LYIT. I’m happy I was recommended this place before I came to Letterkenny because now that I am able to compare all the accommodations here I count myself lucky having stayed in such a lovely house which is clean, comfortable and in excellent condition | 11-Jan-12
| 11-Jan-12
Liam Computer Games Development Co. Louth | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: This was my third year staying in Court Manor house apartments. The reason I keep choosing to stay here over the other available options is the convenient location which is a few minutes walk from the collage and a stone's throw from the main street. The apartments themselves are also nice, spacious and well maintained with a full complement of utensils and facilities. This makes the apartments a very handy place to stay regardless if your the kind of person who likes to stay in or head out to town. Also during my three years there the staff and management have never failed to be pleasant and accommodating, always ready to help if you have a problem. Overall I had a great time there and plan to stay again. Liam Mac Gabhann | 07-Sep-11
Eamonn 4th Year Mechanical Engineering Student Donegal | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: The apartments at Court Manor House are very modern, spacious and comfortable. The interior quality is unmatched by any other student accommodation to be found in Letterkenny. The location is very suitable for students with LYIT only a short walk away. The town centre is also less than a 5 minute walk away, as is the bus station and shopping centre. Overall I was very happy staying at Court Manor House and would recommend LSA to any future LYIT students. Eamonn Mc Ginty 4th Year Mechanical Engineering Student | 22-Jul-11
Aoifes Parents Co. Sligo | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: Our daughter Aoife has been staying in Pearse House since September 2010. As it was Aoife’s first year in college we as parents were naturally anxious about finding the right accommodation but once we spoke to Anna May she put our minds at ease. We were very happy with the level of accommodation and security offered by Anna May, the apartments are spacious and very secure. There are located very centrally within a short walk from the college, bus station and shops in a very well lit area. Anna May was only a phone call away if any of the students needed her which is a great relief to anyone who is away from home for the first time, she kept a regular check on the girls heating and electricity which was very helpful. I would highly recommend Letterkenny Student Accommodation to anyone attending LYIT. | 09-Jun-11
Niall Computer Games Development Co. Louth | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: I stayed in Court Manor House Apartments last year and will do again this year, the apartment was well taken care of and a good size. The building is near enough the centre of town that everywhere is within walking distance, which made getting to and from collage extremely convenient. With a pleasant and approachable Landlady I would gladly recommend Court Manor House Apartments. | 07-Jun-11

Oisin 2nd year Creative Digital Media Co. Donegal | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Having spent the 2010/2011 term in Court Manor House I can't recommend LSA much higher. The apartments are all well kept and the building is more than secure. Heating and electricity never became a problem, the apartments themselves are spacious and well furnished. They are located within walking distance of all the local shops as well as the college itself. | 24-May-11
Paul's Father Paul Snr Co. Wexford | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Around this time last year we started looking into student accommodation for our eldest son who was preparing for his first year away at college. The course he wanted was in LYIT which is a world away from where live in Co. Wexford so we were understandably worried about our son who chose to go there. Then there was the worry of where he would stay and amenities that would be available to him and security, broadband, gas, electricity and waste etc, etc. Then we contacted Anna May Kelly after seeing her website and everything began to fall into place, secure apartments, c.c.t.v. and all other utilities. After talking to Anna May on the phone numerous times and then finally meeting her when we arrived up there on registration day I can safely say that our minds were put at ease, she is an absolute gem, it’s like a home away from home for Paul, and we have the peace of mind knowing that he is in safe hands and that no matter what happens at any time of the day or night Anna May is only a phone call away. Paul is even booked in for second year already and he gets on great with Anna May, so if you are lucky enough to secure a place with Anna May next year don’t pass it up as you won’t be disappointed with her services. Regards Paul | 21-May-11

Joe 1st Year Mature Student Psychiatric Nursing Co. Leitrim | Resident in Duffy's Lane Townhouses: This student accommodation was excellent. They were very spacious, clean and in a great location. As soon as you walk in you can see that they are very well maintained and clean. They were really well laid out and plenty of space. All mod cons present and with wireless broad band it was easy to do all kinds of college work. The location is central to the town and less than a 10 minute walk from college. Anna May herself was a pleasure to deal with and couldn't do enough. Always approachable and anything needed was dealth with promptly. Catherine 1st year Psychiatric Nursing Co. Sligo | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: I’m a first year student studying at Letterkenny IT. This was my first time living away from home and I stayed in Pearse House Apartments. The apartments are very spacious and are well planned out. They are very close to all shops, main street and all nightclubs and pubs. It is also just a short walk to the college which is very handy. Aisling 1st Year Law Co. Sligo | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: As a first year student in LYIT, I had no notion of what to expect when it came to student accommodation. I was lucky to have came across LSA first because I couldn't have found a better place! it must have been a sign! In comparison to other availabilities for students, LSA is one of the best equipped and most well kept accommodations of them all. I would recommend Letterkenny student accommodation esp for first year, my parents were terrified of me leaving home but when they met Anna May, they were set as ease. You wont find any other landlord that will take care of ya as much as she does. Even though the apartments are so close to the main street, there is no noise what so ever. I came to Letterkenny not knowing anyone but I met my 3 best mates n LSA. Everybody here is so friendly! My parents are so pleased with LSA that my brother will be staying in Court Manor House in September for his 1st yr as well! A big thank you to Anna May and Eugene for their kindness and help during my stay in Court Manor House. Aisling, 1st Year Law | 20-May-11

The apartments are ideally located within easy walking distance of college, shopping centres and all recreational facilities. Geraldine Mother of Chris 1st Year Computer Software Westport Co. Mayo | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Dear Anna May I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how impressed I am with your student accommodation. My daughter maria stayed with you for four years when she done her nursing degree in Letterkenny IT. She had the single apartment it was very spacious and very well equipped from the TV to the washing machine, so when our son Chris decided that he was going to college in Letterkenny we did not hesitate to contact you as we know how well you take care of the students you go above and beyond the duty of a landlord we know if Chris is ill or needs help in any way that you are always there for him. As a parent this means a lot to us as we know that our son is safe. I would like to thank you for always being there when needed and for always putting the welfare of the students you accommodate first and for being like a second mother to them as I feel when students stay with you it's like a home away from home. So any parents who have students planning on moving to Letterkenny next year or in the future years i strongly suggest that you give Annamay a call, I assure you that you will never regret it . Thanking You Annamay for all the attention and kindness you have shown to my children down the years. Thanking You Geraldine | 20-May-11
Stephen 1st year Computer Security & Digital Forensics Co. Monaghan | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: I really enjoyed my time in Court Manor House. If I never came there, I never would have met my three best friends. I do recommend Court Manor house as a start-off point to third level education, as it is a safe and secure place. Stephen | 20-May-11
David 1st year Science Co. Cavan | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: This place is perfect for anyone who wants a hassle free, fun, unique and pleasant stay in their first year in college, without taking away from the experience that college living should be. I would consider this place to be ‘Home away from Home’, with a friendly Landlord and even more friendly people. Anyone who stays here never leaves with a bad word to say. Everything that you could think of is provided, Heat, Electricity, Bin service, maintenance, and broadband. These are provided for you so you don’t have to worry about getting these necessities from separate people and companies, THEY ARE THERE AS YOU WALK IN !! | 20-May-11
Axel Fellagh 3rd year Business Studies France | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Bonjour à tous, j’étais résident à Court Manor Apartments pour mon année universitaire 2010/2011.
Mark 1st Year Digital Forensics Co. Wexford | Resident in Duffy's Lane Townhouses: I would like to thank the staff here in the Letterkenny Students Accommodation for all their help and encouragement with my studies; it has been a good year here in the house in Duffy's lane, the house it's self is clean and tidy beyond belief, any problems are quickly dealt with by Anna May. Every thing ran smoothly thanks to her diligence and management, how she does it I do not know but thank you Anna May, the house it's self is spacious and tidy with plenty of every thing that you will need for your year ahead. There is every thing here from washing machine to microwaves, TV/video combe, central heating, to wifi. My room is not to small or to big just right, in it there is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bed side locker, and I still had enough space for my computer, printer and P.S.3 I look forward to coming back in September off this year for my second year and hope that it goes as well as this one has and knowing Anna May will be here at the helm helping us, makes the journey seem effortless. So from me a big thank to Anna May for the help and the chats after college. | 20-May-11
Catherine's Mother Maggie C. Sligo | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: As a parent I found Letterkenny Student Accommodation a clean, warm and safe environment for student’s first time away from home, which was a comfort as a parent. There is a friendly approachable ambience. I would recommend LSA to all students. It’s like home from home. | 20-May-11
Donna Marie's father Ian Co. Roscommon | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: Anna May Thank you very much for looking after DonnaMarie for us in your accomodation in Letterkenny. It's a great comfort to us to know that she is well looked after by yourself when she is in her first year in Letterkenny IT. Your attention to her/ our needs go far past what I would expect from someone looking after student accomodation. To us and her you are more like a surrogate mother rather than a land lady. To any one I know that has a Son/Daughter starting in Letterkenny IT I will not hessitate to recommend you to them. Once again we can't thank you enough for what you have done for us and Donnamarie. Best wishes from Ian Roscommon | 20-May-11
Aoife 1st year Vetinary Nursing Co. Sligo | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: I’m a first year student at LYIT and I have been staying in Pearse House Apartments since September 2010. The apartments are spacious, warm and comfortable. Everything is within walking distance, the college is a 15 minute walk and main street is only a 3-5 minute walk. All appliances and cutlery are supplied. The apartments are very secure and safe, to get in the door to the building you need a key or be buzzed in, and the stairwells are monitored by CCTV. There is a very calm and quiet atmosphere which is ideal for getting work done. The heating and electricity is very simple to use and the heating bill is managed well by Anna-May. Anna-May is very good to us and very quick to deal with any issues, for example within 30 minutes of notifying her of a broken microwave we had a new one delivered to us! I would highly recommend these apartments. | 20-May-11

Axel Fellah 3rd Year Business Studies France | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Hi Folks, I was resident at Court Manor Apartments for my 2010/2011 academic year. To be sincere, everything was as I expected and perfect, from the first mail to book the apartment Anna May was extremely accessible, professional and committed to facilitate my arrival in Letterkenny and my move. The accommodation Office is at the bottom of the building and opening hours are made so that you can see Anna May without any problem. You’ll live 5 min from the bus station and 10 minutes of LYIT. Accommodation, comprising about 20 apartments but still is very quiet. The residence is equipped with many cameras, you will feel safe here. For all these reasons I'm glad to have found this housing and that’s why I recommend this place. | 19-May-11
| 25-Dec-10
Aaron 3rd year Applied Computing Germany | Resident in Duffy's Lane Townhouses: I'm staying in Letterkenny for one semester, studying Applied Computing at the LyIT. I share one of the Duffy's Lane Townhouses with a fellow student. We are very happy with our accommodation. The house is spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need. Furthermore, it is located quite central. It's only a 3 minutes walk to the next pub at Main St. and 15 minutes to the LyIT. Even though it's located quite central, you won't hear any noise from the streets and the pubs at night. An internet connection for the Duffy's Lane Townhouses is provided via Wi-Fi. It is fast enough for normal usage (I get about 2000 mbit/s) and secured with WPA2 which is a big advantage. This is not the case in Grand Central, for example, where the whole traffic remains unencrypted and credentials and other private data can be easily obtained by others. Huge parties aren't allowed in the buildings of the LSA. That is definitely not a drawback though because as a result of that regulation it is quiet at night and you can be sure not to have your interior damaged or stolen the next day. Of course it is not a problem to invite some friends for a drink in the evening but if you are looking for an accommodation in which you can invite 50 people or more, you should better go to Shalom House where those crazy parties take place regularly. Having talked to friends who stay in other accommodations, I I can highly recommend the LSA. I would stay here again. | 24-Nov-10
| 24-Nov-10
Stephan 3rd Year Digital Media, Design & Production Germany | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: I live in Court Manor House during my semester abroad and can fully recommend this facility. It’s fully equipped with all household appliances including a washing machine and a dryer. The large rooms are very clean and comfortable. The Internet is comparatively fast and there is no narrow traffic limitation like in other accommodations. The Court Manor House is very centrally located and closeto the Institute of Technology with a walk of about 10-15 minutes. If there are any problems, Anna May is much endeavored to help. | 23-Nov-10

| 12-Aug-10
Seans Mother Dundalk Co. Louth | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: My son stayed in one of the apartments in Pearse Manor last year. I have to say I was delighted when I first saw the apartment..it was in excellent condition, newly painted and very bright and airy, with all the basics supplied. There is a high level of security in the complex which leaves it very safe. The location is ideal, in the centre of town, a short walk from the college and right beside shops etc. I just couldn't recommend these apartments highly enough! Anna May looks after the students' welfare, making sure electricity or gas doesn't run out and is always at hand if they have any kind of problem. This is particularly reassuring for parents of 1st years who are away from home for the first time..it's good to know that someone is in the background keeping an eye on them! Finally I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for all Anna May's help over the last year and for the interest she takes in all the students. It certainly made the year a lot easier! My son is staying in the apartment again next year, which speaks for itself!! | 06-Jul-10
Nicole's Parents Co. Cavan | Resident in Pearse House Apartments: Both myself and my husband could not recommend this accommodation highly enough. As it was our daughter’s first time away from home, we were extremely pleased with the high level of accommodation offered by Anna May in Pearse House. From the outset I was very happy and content, even before we saw the accommodation and from speaking to Anna May that it was the right place for our daughter. From the description, it appeared to me that it was independent living but with the added advantage of a Landlady, who while not specifically resident on the premises but knew everything that went on. The apartments are very spacious, clean and if any repairs needed to be completed, the girls just text or rang Anna May and they were repaired with great efficiency on the same day. I was also extremely impressed with the high level of security of the apartment and nothing untoward went unnoticed. These apartments are certainly a home away from home. With just a seven minute walk to the college they are very central. Everything you needed is within very easy reach as in both shops and the town centre. Even though it is just a very short walk to the town centre, the apartments are situate in a quiet and safe area. I would highly recommend these apartments for anyone who is looking for student accommodation. I would like to thank Anna May for all her assistance during the year and look forward, please god, to September, 2010 in these apartments at Pearse House. | 28-May-10

I stayed in Pearse House Student Accommodation and I would have no problem recommending it to anyone. The apartments are spacious and have everything that one would need. Close to the college and shops, everywhere is pretty much within walking distance. If I return in September I would have no problem renting a flat here again. Thanks Anna-May for everything. Gary. | 25-May-10
Colin, Bray, Co. Wicklow 1st Year Cmomputer Forensics | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: I stayed in Court Manor House apartments from September 2009 to May 2010. I couldn’t recommend the apartments highly enough. For a student on their first year going to college in Letterkenny this is the best place to stay as it’s central to everything and secure. Although it is central to the town it is a very quiet block so it is easy to relax and study. The Apartments are very well run and if anything is wrong once it is brought to Anna May's attention it will be fixed as quickly as possible. You would be making one of the best choices by staying anywhere run by Anna May. Colin. | 25-May-10

Court Manor is a very safe place to live as CCTV cameras are in place insuring the safety of the occupations of the apartments. The lady lady Anna May I found very nice and if there was any problems with the flat it would be sorted out as soon as possible. The flats are located close to the town centre and also only a 7- 8 minute walk to the collage. I would highly recommend the apartments at either Pearse House or Court Manor to any student considering studying in Letterkenny....Margaret Mary Mc Manus. | 18-May-10

I really enjoyed my first year here as the apartment itself is clean, warm, spacious, has excellent study facilities and safe as there are numerous cameras to help you feel protected all hours of the day. | 22-Feb-10
Carl -Heinz Germany 3rd year Applied Computing | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: I visited different accommodations before the beginning of my semester in Letterkenny. Unfortunately I had to realize that many of the accommodations were not convincing. The Letterkenny Student Accommodation, however, has convinced me. I lived in the Court Manor House and was satisfied. The rooms were well equipped , the kitchen has all accessories in place and the rooms are equipped with comfortable wooden furniture also the bathroom is very clean. I want to mention the existing broadband connection, which in comparison to all other accommodations was very fast. The speed was usually between 600KB / s and 3000KB / s on LAN. Very comfortable is the distance to the city center which is only 100 meters to the main street. Despite this it was never to loud and you could learn as well. This was mainly due to a strict denial on celebrations in the house. There was only one thing I wasn't happy with, I think that the charges for heating and electricity are very high, but I have only the German charges in comparison. However, the billing was fair, for example if you are not there for a week or so, you will not be put in charge for heating. The electricity was managed by the tenants themselves. | 22-Feb-10
| 28-Jan-10
| 15-Dec-09
Manfred F Austria, province Tyrol 4th year Erasmus Student at LYIT, Design Digital Media | Resident in Duffy's Lane Townhouses: During my semester abroad here in Letterkenny I had bad luck with my first accomodation because of several reasons, so I decided to change it. Fortunatelly I could find contact to ’www.letterkennystudentaccommodation.ie’. My new landlady Anna May Kelly was very friendly and correctly to me. I got a very comfortable room in a spacious two-people townhouse in Duffy’s Lane. From the beginning I felt very fine and especially safe here. The house is very new and it is full fitted with everything for your daily requirements. Everything worked fine every time (heating with timer, warm water, washing machine with dryer, fast internet, tv, kitchenware). This place is optimal for everyone who is looking for living a quiet and peaceful life (privacy, quiet neighbours, no street noise, no parties). Nevertheless it just takes a two minutes walk to the towncenter and approx. 7 minutes to ’Letterkenny Institute of Technology’. Also shopping centres (Lidl, Dunnes Stores...), recreational facilities (cinema, theatre, pubs, clubs, live music, karaoke...) and the bus station are very close. I really can suggest this accomodation: best study conditions in a pleasent accomodation for a fair price. | 15-Dec-09
James A Ryder (Parent Thomas ) 1st year Computer Games Westmeath | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: Our son Tom came to Letterkenny last year (Sept 2008) and we were very concerned about the kind of lodgings that we would be able to find for him, we live in Co. Westmeath and this was his first time away from home... We looked around for a while and then luckily for us we came across Anna-May at www.letterkenystudentaccommodation.ie. It might sound trite but we haven't had to worry since. Thomas, who has now left college, was very happy with his rooms, the flats were clean of a high standard and very reasonably priced. We were also most impressed with the high level of security offered. CCTV and constant on site surveillance. As for Anna-May and her husband, what can we say to do them justice? They looked after Thomas even when he certainly didn't deserve it. They take what they do very seriously but have not sacrificed compassion and basic decency. Anna-May kept us informed at all times and showed a patience that I am not certain that we could have matched. We really could not be happier with the way our choice to lodge Tom with Anna-May turned out, so much so that one of our other sons, Christopher will be with her this year as will his friend who took our advise to rent with her. If you are offered a flat then it's your lucky day. I would advise you to grab the opportunity with both hands. If you want to verify that this is a genuine testimonial then please feel free to contact me, generally in the early evening if you could. (044-9661885) James A.Ryder | 21-Aug-09

| 24-May-07

Sarah Mayo | Resident in Court Manor Apartments: I have spend the last 2 years in Court Manor. I really enjoyed staying there as it was just so handy to pubs, clubs & shops and of course College. Anna May was also so helpful to us, she was there whenever we needed her. The Apartment was lovely and clean. Anna May was nice enough to put me in an Apartment with another girl who was doing the same course as me, we are now great friends. The Apartments also have their own parking which is brilliant. There are plenty of cameras also so everything is safe. I was very happy with the apartments and I would highly reccommend them. Sarah | 18-May-07

| 31-May-06
